alright guys, two updates.

the gre wasn't awful, but it also wasn't nearly as good as i wanted.  i ended with the same overall score as the first go around but the individual subject scores changed to a more acceptable range for both.  i'm not sure if universities can see both tests and pick and choose subject scores but if they could, that would be awesome.

second, i went to austin yesterday to visit that one school over there, you know, the one with a cow as their mascot.  i had the opportunity to talk to half of the professors i wanted to meet with about grad school, life in the aerospace department there, and research.  there are definitely some pretty cool research projects going on, but i wasn't too sure about the atmosphere.  the profs i talked to were awesome and i would definitely love taking classes from them, but the overall feel of the department just wasn't what i was expecting or looking for.  i'll still be applying, but i don't think it's necessarily on the top of my list.  bummer, i was actually semi looking forward to trying out austin.
